Back Patio Event Design, LLC is a San Diego-based event planning and coordination company, working weddings and events since 2018, with us and on their own. Laura and Kayla had a passion for events since working together at the University Club atop Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego. After their own weddings, they knew they wanted to help deliver the same great planning experience for other couples in the Southern California area. In 2017 they began developing their business plan and started 2018 with their first weddings and events. Event coordination and wedding planning come easy to these two! They love a well communicated event that is planned and tracked. We are thrilled to have them on our team, delivering warm and welcoming outdoor events and weddings for our clients, brides and grooms.

Their favorite part of your event at Sweetwater Farms: Keeping the timeline going and making sure your event is flowing smoothly! Together during your contract process, you can expect to work with lead Event Director, Kayla Portillo on building your event. We track everything from your vendors and their contact information, creation of your event timeline, keeping track of everything the venue is providing you for your event and designing your event diagram to your liking. Renting additional items and providing some on your own DIY items? We’ll track those items too!

During this recent wedding, celebrating Adriana and Matt, we had the opportunity to offer additional design help. They provided their own DIY inventory and worked additionally with Back Patio Event Design to manage the placement of all of their items. Together we were able to deliver a beautiful, sunflower-rich wedding day at our San Diego farm.
